Wow! What a day we had at the 2025 Women in Estate Agency Conference! If you weren’t there on March 6th, you seriously missed out on a day packed with inspiration, laughs, and a whole load of special moments. The theme, “The Power Of You,” wasn’t just a catchy phrase; it was the heart and soul of the whole event.
From the moment Verona Frankish, our brilliant Chair, took to the stage, you could feel the buzz. She didn’t just give us figures; she painted a picture of progress and potential. Sure, there’s still work to do in terms of women’s leadership in the industry, but this conference was all about celebrating the wins and sparking the fire for what’s next.
And let’s talk about the speakers! Each one brought something unique and powerful to the table. Hayley Brackley’s talk about breaking free from expectations reminded us that being authentic is our superpower. Then there was Vicky Bibiris, who gave us practical tools to conquer self-doubt. Seriously, who doesn’t need that?
An Deckers’ story was like something out of a film! From being wanted by Interpol to becoming a top letting agent, she showed us that anything is possible with grit and determination. And then, there was the incredibly moving tribute from Jeremy Langmead to our dear friend Sarah Edmundson. It beautifully represented how special Sarah was, and the immense impact she had on our community.
But the inspiration didn’t stop there! Natasha Terinova talked about the importance of investing in women-led businesses, which is so crucial for creating a more equitable industry. Danielle Nash gave us the lowdown on taking control of our careers, empowering us to be the drivers of our own success. Emma Serlin shared valuable tips on finding our voices and making an impact, while Jennie Barker gave us insights into building thriving company cultures.
And let’s not forget the fun! Lucy Noonan and Club Mob turned the conference into a proper dance party with Spice Girls hits! It was the perfect way to recharge and connect with everyone. Plus, the panel discussion with Ben Madden, Kristjan Byfield, Iain McKenzie, and Daniel Keedwell was a real highlight. It’s so important to have open conversations about gender dynamics in the workplace, and they brought a fresh perspective to the table.
Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without the inspiring keynote from Jo Salter, Britain’s first female fighter pilot. Her story of breaking barriers and achieving the impossible left everyone feeling completely motivated.
The feedback we’ve received has been incredible. Social media was buzzing with positive comments and heartfelt testimonials. One attendee shared, “It was like a rollercoaster of feelings, stuffed to the brim with brain-tickling insights, pro tips, inspirational talks and networking.” And that really sums it up!
Another attendee said, “I’m left lost for words and in awe of the many inspirational speakers we heard from during the day. We laughed, we danced, we cried, we learned & we left feeling incredibly moved, empowered & inspired once again.”
That’s exactly what we hoped to achieve! This conference wasn’t just about networking; it was about creating a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported. It’s about celebrating our collective power and inspiring each other to reach new heights.
