Emma’s career has been deeply rooted in her passion for communication and the transformative power of human connection. She began her journey in film, television, and theatre, training as an actor and working as a theatre director and producer. In 2008, Emma pivoted her focus to psychotherapy and founded the London Speech Workshop.
Over the following years, she completed an MSc in psychology and became a qualified life coach. Driven by a desire to support disenfranchised ex-offenders, Emma expanded her work into the criminal justice field, helping individuals find their voice and path within society. In 2014, Emma developed The Serlin Method™, a trademarked approach that integrates her extensive knowledge of performance with principles of psychology and coaching. Emma has authored two books on communication and frequently appears on television, radio, and in the press.
